About

I’m Eduard Lopez Morales, and Coffee & Quiet Corners is where I write slowly about coffee, cafés, and the quiet corners of a home worth sitting in.

I’m not a roaster or a barista by trade. I’m someone who noticed, somewhere along the way, that the best part of my day was rarely the meeting or the errand, it was the ten minutes with a cup and a chair by the window. So I started paying closer attention: to how a pour changes with the grind, to the particular hush of a café before the morning rush, to which corner of a room actually wants a reading chair in it.

Most of what I write starts with something ordinary I sat with for a while, a bag of beans, a book left open on the arm of a chair, a café I kept going back to. I’ll tell you when something popular is overrated, and I’ll tell you when a cheap, unglamorous fix works better than the expensive one.

Everything here is written by a real person, over a real cup, usually a little slower than it needed to be.
